Title: Redemption (A Betrayed Novel)
Author: Victoria Renteria
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release: July 20, 2017
Two people . . . one path . . . two destinies intertwined.
Emma Hall has everything a woman could ever want. Always in control of her surroundings, she rules every aspect of her life, mapping out every nuance of her foreseeable future . . . until she crosses paths with the one man who makes her question everything she’s ever desired.
Brighton Sinclair has spent years running from his past. After tragedy struck early in his military career, he pushed away anyone who dared to get too close. With all of his attention focused solely on his job, he avoids all things female . . . until the day fate intervenes, sending him on a collision course with the one woman who can wreck it all.
When Brighton’s past comes crashing into his future, everything he’s ever known is called into question. Will Emma be the redemption he’s been seeking, or will fate leave them both in pieces?

This is the story of Briton and Emma.

I think that the one thing that you can truly grasp out of this book is grief.  The grief and the pain that Briton holds onto, from his past, is very powerful.  You can sense it from the get-go and it makes your heart bleed with sorrow for him.

Emma is lovely.  She's bright and  reeks of adventure and happiness.  Her attitude and perspective on all things is absolutely contagious, and I can see how Briton would be attracted to her.

The plot was really fun at times and severely intense at moments. There were times that I felt fierce frustration towards Briton and his stubbornness and not knowing how to deal with the good that was thrown his way.

That being said, although she was only in the book for a short time, Britons sister Phoebe made me laugh and entertained me thoroughly!

It was a good read.

Former Director of a major corporation, Victoria has spent most of her life inside of a book. When she wasn’t reading, she was busy scribbling down stories of her own. Meeting her husband while he was in the United States Army, Victoria quickly adapted and learned the role of the military spouse.

After finishing her Business Management Degree in college, she spent years working in the corporate world where her writing quickly fell to the wayside. Finally, taking time away from the corporate world, Victoria has been able to dive into her stories and create a whole new world for you to live in.
She now resides in the sunny Tampa, Florida area with her husband, son, and two amazing boxers. When she isn’t writing, you can find her on the beach or hiking. Maybe even writing on the beach.
